Terms & Conditions – Tutor Application Portal

These Terms & Conditions apply to your use of the tutor application portal at apply.kenyantutors.com (the “Portal”). The Portal is operated by Fluent Path Ltd, trading as KenyanTutors (“we”, “us”, “our”), a company registered in England and Wales under company number [●], with registered office at [●].

By using the Portal and submitting an application, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, you must not use the Portal or submit an application.

These Portal Terms apply in addition to the main KenyanTutors Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy . If there is any conflict, these Terms apply to your use of apply.kenyantutors.com, and the main terms apply to your use of kenyantutors.com.


1. Purpose of the Portal

The Portal is provided solely to allow individuals to submit applications to become tutors on the KenyanTutors platform. It is not a general teaching platform, and no lessons or payments take place on this site.

2. Eligibility

You confirm that:

  • You are at least 18 years old.
  • You have the legal right to work as a self-employed / independent tutor in your country.
  • You are submitting the application on your own behalf, using your own accurate information.

3. Accuracy of information

You agree that all information you provide in your application is truthful, accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge, including:

  • Your identity and contact details.
  • Your qualifications, experience and subjects you can teach.
  • Your profile photo and introduction video.

You must not impersonate any person, misrepresent your qualifications or experience, or submit any false or misleading information. We may reject, suspend or cancel your application or any resulting account if we reasonably believe that the information is inaccurate or misleading.

4. No guarantee of acceptance or work

Submitting an application does not guarantee that you will be accepted as a tutor on KenyanTutors or that you will receive any lessons, bookings or income.

We may accept, reject or close applications at our sole discretion. We are not obliged to give reasons for our decision, though we may do so where appropriate.

5. Profile photo and introduction video

As part of your application, you may upload a profile photo and an introduction video. By doing so, you confirm that:

  • You own the rights to the photo and video, or you have permission to use them.
  • No other person appears without their consent.
  • The content is respectful, non-discriminatory, and suitable for a professional educational setting.

If your application is successful and you become an active tutor on KenyanTutors, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce and display your profile photo and introduction video on the KenyanTutors platform and related promotional materials, solely for the purpose of advertising your tutoring services and the KenyanTutors platform.

6. Acceptable use of the Portal

You agree that you will not use the Portal to:

  • Upload or share content that is unlawful, abusive, defamatory, obscene or discriminatory.
  • Upload any malware, viruses or other harmful code.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any systems, accounts or data.
  • Probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the Portal or related infrastructure.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the Portal.

7. Personal data and privacy

When you submit an application, we process your personal data. How we collect, use, store and share your data is explained in our Application Portal Privacy Policy, which is designed to align with Kenya’s Data Protection Act and GDPR/UK GDPR principles.

By using the Portal and submitting your application, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the Application Portal Privacy Policy.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the Portal and your data. However, no online system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee that the Portal will be free from viruses or other harmful components. You are responsible for using appropriate antivirus and security software on your own devices.

9. Availability and changes

We may suspend, withdraw or change the Portal (in whole or in part) at any time, for example for maintenance, security or business reasons.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we may highlight them on the Portal. Your continued use of the Portal after changes take effect means that you accept the updated Terms.

10. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law (for example, liability for fraud).

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss or damage, including loss of income or opportunities, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Portal or your application.

11. Governing law and disputes

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Depending on your location, mandatory consumer or data protection laws in your own country (including Kenya’s Data Protection Act) may also apply.

Any disputes relating to these Terms or your use of the Portal may be brought before the courts of England and Wales, without prejudice to any mandatory rights you may have to bring a claim in your country of residence.
